Help for Heros from the Pug 205

2009 sees the 25th anniversary of the Peugeot 205.

pug205

A car which in many guises, the GTI (1.6 & 1.9), the Rallye, XS and others, has brought great driving enjoyment to many. In celebration of this, a charity event involving nearly 80 cars from over 10 European countries is taking place between 1st - 10th May this year. 14 UK based cars, with a van kindly supplied by Peugeot UK, will be enjoying their standard and modified 205s (some with 200BHP+ 16valve engines) in a 2,900 miles road trip across some of the most challenging roads in Europe to reach Pula in Croatia, with an additional aim to raise funds for Help For Heroes. The official EuroTrip website is here ,which also gives you an opportunity to donate to help injured British servicemen and women recover after injuries sustained in conflict. There are still spaces for 205 fans to join us from any country, and there are still possibilities for companies to get their sponsorship on the van or provide t-shirts/stickers etc to publicise their company. Practical Performance Car (PPC) is a monthly magazine aimed at real car enthusiasts interested in affordable performance tuning. At PPC we pride ourselves in providing the most entertaining, informative and inspiring features for petrolheads everywhere. Each month we feature an eclectic mix of affordable performance cars, great driving adventures and world-class technical features for the DiY tuner. Our editorial team is headed up by well known Will Holman who has a deserved reputation for 'stick a V8 under the bonnet' attitude to life. His editorial team is stacked with experience including Dave Walker (speciality engine management), of the sadly missed Cars and Car Conversions (CCC) magazine, David Vizard, the legendary engine tuning guru, and Kevin Leaper - ex technical editor of Practical Classics.
